Eight trips from camp Boban
Listed from the nearest. Ask us which ones combine well into a single day — we'll even lend you a map.
St. Petar's chapel
A small stone chapel in the hills above Živogošće with a view over the whole camp and the island of Hvar. Most beautiful at sunrise — the climb is easy enough for kids too.
Živogošće Blato
A seafront promenade, a small harbour, konobas with gardens and evening entertainment. On Thursdays there are often fishermen's evenings with live music and homemade wine.
Makarska
A palm-lined promenade, a Franciscan monastery with a shell museum collection, and the best ice cream on the riviera. Perfect for an early-evening outing.
Biokovo and Skywalk
Hairpin roads climb up to the summit of Sv. Jure (1,762 m) and the glass Skywalk viewpoint above the sea. Go early morning — the view can reach as far as the Italian coast.
Neretva delta
A boat photo safari between mandarin groves and reed beds. Try eel and frog legs prepared the local way — it's an experience.
Pelješac Bridge
Croatia's newest landmark — a 2.4 km bridge to the Pelješac peninsula. Combines nicely with a wine tasting in Ponikve.
Hvar and Brač islands
From Drvenik to Hvar for lavender and its promenade, from Makarska to Brač for the Zlatni Rat beach. The ferry ride is an experience for kids too.
Mostar and Blagaj
The Old Bridge over the green Neretva, an oriental bazaar and a dervish tekke by the source of the Buna. On the way back you can also fit in the Kravice waterfalls.
Before you go…
Practical tips
For Mostar and Blagaj you'll need a passport or ID card and a green card for the car. Queues at the border are shortest before 8am.
Car spots sell out in high season. Travelling on foot only? Then arriving half an hour early is enough.
The park has limited capacity and there's an entry fee. It's often full by nine — and fog can roll in up top by noon.
